i stuffed my mountain bike into the back of my WRX for a while but I found it to be a pain in the ass. I got a trailer hitch and a hitch bike carrier and it works great. it even provides a stand for doing maintenance and whatnot to the bike. Its so much quicker than having to pop the tire off and you dont have to worry about a mess.

Did you have to take the handle bars off to make it fit?

That's a pain in the ass, tires I have to do to get my bike in as well, but at least those don't involve any kind of adjustment like the bars. Hopefully this does not have to happen every time?

It was a one time thing. The bike belongs to my brother, Matt Miles. I took him to Whistler the weekend after I bought the car. He travels the world making mountain bike movies. Some people have apparently heard of him.
